Since 2014 the final system is available and has been comprehensively evaluated with regard to its applicability in challenging situations, like in turbid, large lowland rivers as the the river Danube.

The final FishCam system

A result of creativity, know how and experience

FishCam has been developed from 2007 to 2014. Different camera types and deployment strategies for cameras, different lightning strategies, and different video processing alterantives were tested.

The final setup was then implemented in a 365-day monitoring at the nature like fish pass at the hydropower plant Melk at the river Danube from 27.3.2014 to 31.3.2015.
